Network Updates – Postcodes required for all EORI registrations

Published On:
26 August 2024

Customs regulations on EORI numbers will be strictly enforced from 1 September 2024.

Traders should be mindful of changes to avoid risk of rejection and/or delays.

Network International Cargo would like to remind all our exporting customers about having the correct details on their EORI registration as per eCustoms notification in June following a compliance review.

Have and EORI Number but no Irish address?

Revenue advises that any companies which have an Irish EORI number, but no Irish address will need to reach out to revenue in advance of the change in September. Companies in this situation will need to email ECustoms eCustoms@revenue.ie and provide your EORI number, full registered address + UK postcode explaining you do not have an Irish address or Eircode.

From September 2024, Commission Services will implement the validation of all EORI numbers on the ENS, Indirect Exports and Transits. The use of a non-compliant EORI Number could result in the rejection of declarations in another Member State and subsequent delays in the movement of goods.

We recommend you:

  • Check your EORI registration information to ensure that the postcode / Eircode is included
  • If any information is missing – in particular the postcode/Eircode – then update your details TODAY
