To highlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025, the NIC Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Team organised an in-house fundraising event “The Big Pink Breakfast”. A whopping €1,033 was donated by staff, with the company kindly donating the balance to bring this total to an amazing €2,000!!!!

Staff from all areas of the company joined together, with most dressed in pink, and generously contributed to this cause. Pink cupcakes and delicious baked treats organised by the ESG team were enjoyed by all.

Our NIC ESG team are heavily involved in a range of activities for the company, from sustainability to staff engagement and awareness of important issues affecting us all in the workplace and our everyday lives.

Below is a lovely note from the Irish Cancer Society Fundraising Team acknowledging the great work of NIC Staff:-

“Congratulations Network International Cargo Ltd, you and your company have reached your fundraising target! This is a fantastic achievement, and we are so grateful to you and everyone at your company!

Because of this amazing support we can continue to be there for people affected by cancer, like Tara Doonan, a 36-year-old breast cancer survivor from Co. Cavan.

Tara’s life changed forever when she found a lump in the summer of 2022. Because of incredible people like you and everyone at your company, Tara received expert care and support through the Irish Cancer Society, including free counselling, practical advice from our Support Line nurses, and resources to guide her through treatment.

“The Irish Cancer Society was just brilliant, and an invaluable resource to me. I was carried along by an army of people that I’ve never even met. I’m just so grateful to all these strangers out there every day.

We want to say a MASSIVE thank you again from all of us at the Irish Cancer Society, we couldn’t do this without you and everyone at your company. 💛💛💛

Best wishes,

The Irish Cancer Society Fundraising Team “
